![]() ![]() ![]() They picked up on energy, body language, cues. We cultivated a caring and ambitious dynamic. What I learned from this director was an important lesson. I thought I was real, open, heart-centered but maintained a professionalism so as to shield the team of the chaos I confronted day-to-day. ![]() There was an invisible wall I was creating and unaware of it, guarding their well being but it wasn’t necessarily doing that. A sense of common humanity and connection was needed to deepen trust. ![]() When I probed further as to how I might demonstrate more vulnerability, and why that felt important I was struck. I’ll never forget the moment when a director on a former team came to me and said “as our leader we want you to be more vulnerable, share more about yourself”. ![]()
